Much like the cosmos, the network of De Facto is ever expanding. And you can be part of De Facto too! Are you a journalist, artist, photographer or academic and do you want to contribute to our site? Please get in touch. We are a small organization without structural funding so we cannot pay for any publication. What we can offer is exposure, and we are also very eager to re-publish earlier work that might have ended up in the obscure corners of the internet. The copyright remains yours. Beware that we keep the right to refuse any publication that does not match with our mission.

Without tipsters and volunteers, we cannot function. Suggestions about relevant news, articles or websites you can send to info@defactoborders.org. Are you interested in editing articles, translating stories or searching for relevant content? Please let us know, we appreciate your help and love to be in touch with fellow enthusiasts.

Become an ambassador

Would you like to contribute to De Facto in a financial way? That would be amazing! Thanks a lot, we need you. We are a small organization without structural funding and do most of the work as volunteers. We are passionate about curious borders and want to share our explorations with people around the globe, without ads or cookies. With your support, we can continue running our platform and organizing our events.

Here are the options:

• Donate 25 euro and receive a cinderella post stamp or banknote from a curious place.
• Donate 100 euro and become an ambassador for a year: you can even pick and choose a favourite place on our website (that hasn’t been taken yet).
